Sharifah Fatimah Syed Zubir, a pioneer of Malaysian abstract art, has created a series of poetic and spiritual works with her colorful and rhythmic visual language. "Untitled 2," created in 2015, continues her exploration of the relationship between nature, emotion and form. The picture uses vibrant red, yellow, green and blue saturated color blocks to weave rich spatial layers and dynamics, like a flowing piece of music, which is both abstract and full of vitality. Sharifah Fatimah is one of the most representative abstract artists in Malaysia. Her works are deeply influenced by natural landscapes and Islamic geometric compositions, while integrating modernist color language and personal spiritual expression. She graduated from the Malaysian Academy of Art in 1973 and went to the University of Reading in the UK and Germany for further studies. Her works have been shown in many important exhibitions around the world, including the Venice Biennale and the National Gallery Singapore.
"Untitled 2" not only presents the artist's highly free and precise control of color and composition, but also reflects her continuous exploration of her inner emotions and spiritual world. This work is an important example of the mature stage of his style in recent years. The interweaving of colors shows both the rationality of the form and the surge of emotions, which makes people stare at it for a long time.
