Ronald Ventura, born in 1973 in Manila, Philippines, is a prominent contemporary artist recognized for his intricate fusion of hyperrealism, cartoons, and graffiti. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Santo Tomas in 1993 and later served as an instructor at the same institution.
In his early career, Ventura gained attention for his paintings featuring nudes set against urban decay. These works showcased ivory-skinned figures rendered in rich tones, ranging from dark grays and sepias to luminous whites. His works are appreciated for their technical mastery and the evocative exploration of the human condition within contemporary settings.
