Notes:
Created in 2004, Abstract is a representative work of Hong Zhuan that continues his oriental aesthetic foundation and integrates contemporary abstract vocabulary. The work is painted on paper, with a low-saturation blue-gray base and dense black ink, showing depth in silence and power in blank space. The ink traces in the center of the picture are like smoke and fog, like the shadows of distant mountains and clouds, full of the oriental "vivid charm" interest. Hong Zhuan was influenced by traditional Chinese calligraphy and painting in his early years, and later lived in Singapore and Australia, gradually developing an abstract painting language that is restrained and implicit, transcending the image. In this work, he does not depict nature, but uses the method of "writing from the heart" to transform the state of mind, breath and breathing into layers of superimposed ink marks, constructing a visual silent field belonging to oriental philosophy. The work also shows the texture of the mineral color pigments and paper that the artist usually uses, making the picture present a heavy sense and timeliness like a mural, and also echoing the "meaning beyond the image" of ancient literati paintings.
《抽象》创作于2004年，是洪祝安延续其东方美学根基并融合当代抽象语汇的代表性之作。作品采用纸本设色，以低饱和度的青灰色打底，辅以笔触密集的黑色墨迹，于沉静中见深邃，于留白中见力量。画面中央的墨色痕迹似烟似雾，若远山云影横陈，充满东方“气韵生动”之意趣。
洪祝安早年受中国传统书画熏陶，后旅居新加坡与澳洲，逐渐发展出一种内敛含蓄、超越物象的抽象绘画语言。在此作中，他并非描绘自然，而是以“写心”之方式，将心境、气息与呼吸化为层层叠加的墨痕，构建出属于东方哲思的视觉静默场域 。
