A Journey of Hope is a fundraiser event organized by Guardant Health in support of Singapore Cancer Society (SCS). Its goal is to support cancer patients in Singapore in their journey to health and recovery.

Funds will be raised through an auction of magnificent art pieces painted by award winning artist and cancer survivor, Ms. Chun Wee Ping. Watercolor painting has helped Wee Ping overcome the challenges of her cancer journey. To her, each stroke of brush reflects her triumphant fight against cancer and she sees every artwork as a celebration of life.

A Journey of Hope online auction features an exclusive collection of Wee Ping's 12 paintings with a series of iconic places in Singapore and beautiful sceneries that she has captured during her trips around Asia, Europe and USA. We welcome you to show your support by starting your bid early to own her masterpieces.

A Journey of Hope fundraiser will be held on November 23, 2018 at Sinfonia restaurant.

Invited guests can also do their part by participating in the Art Jam to build a 200-piece mural - "A Celebration of Life" created by Wee Ping.

All proceeds gather from the auction and donations will go to the Singapore Cancer Society. Amounts paid above the minimum bid is eligible for 2.5 times tax-exemption. No buyer's premium charged for this auction.

About Wee Ping:

Wee Ping was immensely interested in art and started her training since young, and had won more than 100 awards in art competitions. In 1993, she was awarded the EDB-Takashimaya Scholarship to further her training in art and design in Japan.

She was especially keen on watercolor. Watercolor painting never fails to bring surprises to the artist as one can never fully anticipate how the completed artwork will turn out. Picturesque landscape and architecture are among her favourite subjects.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer twice, she is currently on chemo break and regular check-up by specialist doctor as shekeeps battling with cancer in her system.

Wee Ping’s battle with cancer has gained for her a new appreciation for watercolor painting. To her watercolor painting is like her cancer journey. As each stroke of brush brings her closer towards completing an art piece, it reflects her triumphant fight over cancer every single day.

When she recalls those little flashes of images from years ago; which are more than images, where she can hear the sounds, smell of the chemo room, feels the aches of treatments, and remembers the weakness from it all. She also remembers the strength she conjured up, her will to live that grew, the appreciation for the life she learned and the certainty she truly believed she would complete the journey beautifully.

Bidding for this online auction is done exclusively on 33 Auction mobile apps and/or bidding site. Below is a short guide. Should you encounter any technical issue with the bidding platform, please contact 33 Auction helpdesk at +65 67474555.

Browse for item:

Open the 33 Auction Apps or visit to explore our auctions and the lots that interest you. Our online auction will be indicated as TIMED AUCTION with accompanying clock icon.

Register to Bid:

From the e-catalogue, you will click ‘register to bid’ and either be prompted to login or to create an account. This will require you to enter your credit card and billing information, as well as to read and accept our Terms and Conditions.

Place Bid:

Click the ‘Place Bid’ button if you decide to bid on any particular lot. If you are not logged in, you will be taken to login or register to bid. After completing the auction registration, you will be taken back to the lot detail page to confirm your bid.

Bids may be submitted through the online platform from the start of the auction until the lot closes. Enter your maximum bid, the highest price you are willing to pay on the lot. The bidding platform will then place incremental bids on your behalf as much as is required to ensure you remain the highest bidder (up to your maximum bid). In cases when two equivalent maximum bids are submitted, the first bid received will take priority. If you are outbid at any time you will receive an email indicating this. You may then choose to enter another bid or not. 33 Auction uses predetermined bidding increments which are available as options when entering your maximum bid.

Monitor your bids:

Once you have left a bid on a lot, you will be notified on screen if you are the highest bidder. If you are subsequently outbid, you will be notified by email, and provided with a link to increase your bid. We encourage you to monitor your lots throughout the auction to ensure your status as highest bidder up until the close of the auction.

Auction Closes:

An end time is displayed for each lot on the lot detail page. Lots will close in 3 (THREE) minute increments unless a bid is placed within 10 minutes of a lot's scheduled end time. If this occurs, 33 Auction will extend the sale of that lot by 10 minutes from the time of the last bid. The extension of any one lot's closing time does not affect the closing time of the following lots. This may result in lots closing out of numerical order.

Your Purchases:

If you remain the highest bidder at the close of a lot(s), you will receive an email at the auction’s close notifying you of your purchase(s). To check the status of a particular lot, visit the individual lot page while logged into your 33 Auction account.

You will receive an invoice from Singapore Cancer Society after the auction including your total charges along with payment instructions. Amounts paid above the minimum bid is eligible for 2.5 times tax-exemption.
